Shtorm battalion (Батальйон Шторм) was created in order to replace the disbanded Berkut unit in the area and protect public order in Odessa in case of any attempts of provocations. The unit was formed only from volunteers from almost all regions of Ukraine, some enlisted to battalion immediately after EuroMaidan. The unit became famous after the battle near Georgiyvka, when it was revealed they were engaged by Pskov Airborne division of Russian Armed Forces.

Locally made Flecktarn uniform is very popular among volunteers across Ukraine. It’s cheap and widely available. The pattern works well in the various environment.

British DPM Desert

DPM Desert variant is a pretty rare pattern in the conflict. The camouflage doesn’t work well in the urban environment and its performance in Ukrainian nature is doubtful.
