<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12 \u043a\u0432\u0456\u0442\u043d\u044f 2025 \u0440\u043e\u043a\u0443 \u043a\u043e\u043c\u0430\u043d\u0434\u0438\u0440 <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/10th-mountain-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"11883\">10-\u0442\u0430 \u0433\u0456\u0440\u0441\u044c\u043a\u043e-\u0448\u0442\u0443\u0440\u043c\u043e\u0432\u0430 \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a>, Colonel Roman Darmohray, was appointed as the commander of the 18th Army Corps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Darmohray transferred his previous position to the brigade&#8217;s Chief of Staff, Colonel Volodymyr Potyeashkin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May 2025, the corps received its officially approved chevron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August 2025, it became known that the combat composition of the corps had been fully revealed, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/1st-tank-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"11894\">1-\u0430 \u0432\u0430\u0436\u043a\u0430 Brigades<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u0412\u0456\u0434\u0437\u043d\u0430\u043a\u0438<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The insignia displays a heraldic shield divided into red and olive-green fields, bordered in gold. At its center is a silver diver, symbolizing military command and the responsibility vested in the corps headquarters. The diver is overlaid with a saber, representing the corps\u2019 readiness to defend the homeland and its fighting spirit. Behind these elements is a silver lanceolate cross with a pointed lower arm, a symbol derived from the territorial heraldry of the region. A silver eight-pointed star further references historic local heraldic traditions, reinforcing the corps\u2019 connection to the lands from which it draws its identity and We <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/news\/the-formation-of-the-3rd-army-corps-is-underway\/\">recently covered<\/a> the establishment of the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/3rd-army-corps\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"44237\">3rd Army Corps<\/a> on the basis of the 3rd Assault Brigade; with the commander being Andriy Biletskiy,<a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/news\/khartia-serves-as-basis-for-the-new-army-corps\/\"> as well as a corps being<\/a> formed on the basis of the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/national-guard\/khartia-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"18810\">Khartia Brigade<\/a> of the Ukrainian National Guard.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>It has been discovered that the command is forming several new Army Corps units; these being - the 15th, 18th, and 20th Army Corps. Information on these formations is scarce, though it is known that two of them have received their insignia, and the first-mentioned is based in Rivne Oblast. This was also acknowledged by President Zelenskyy; stating that the process of forming corps needed to be sped up. It is also important to note that previously existing corps in the history of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, such as the 13th Army Corps, are unlikely to be raised up again. In 2015, he graduated from the National Academy of Ground Forces and began his service with the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/72nd-mechanized-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"11908\">72nd Mechanized Brigade<\/a> as a platoon commander.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>In 2017, he served as chief of staff of the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 72nd Brigade and took part in the defense of Avdiivka and surrounding areas, including the Butivka mine and nearby outskirts. He later became the commander of the brigade\u2019s 3rd Mechanized Battalion.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>When Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Darmohray organized the defense of Pukhivka, Rozhivka, and Klynivka near Kyiv.
