46th Assault Battalion Donbas was a unit of the Ukrainian \u0421\u0443\u0445\u043e\u043f\u0443\u0442\u043d\u0456 \u0432\u0456\u0439\u0441\u044c\u043a\u0430<\/a>, formed in 2015 as 46th Special Purpose Battalion Donbas-Ukraine. The unit was formed by volunteers of the famous \u0411\u0430\u0442\u0430\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d \"\u0414\u043e\u043d\u0431\u0430\u0441<\/a>, who wished to serve in the \u0417\u0431\u0440\u043e\u0439\u043d\u0456 \u0441\u0438\u043b\u0438 \u0423\u043a\u0440\u0430\u0457\u043d\u0438<\/a> instead of the \u041d\u0430\u0446\u0456\u043e\u043d\u0430\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430 \u0433\u0432\u0430\u0440\u0434\u0456\u044f<\/a>, where the original battalion was subordinated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, the battalion was subordinated to the 54-\u0430 \u043c\u0435\u0445\u0430\u043d\u0456\u0437\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0430 \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a>, and in 2019, the unit was reformed into an assault battalion and received an honorary title, Donbas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

46th Assault Battalion<\/a>, also previous known as Donbas-Ukraine or Donbas-ZSU, ceased to exist as a separate entity in the structure of Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by several volunteers familiar with the situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
