Under Major Fokin, ineffective formations inherited from the brigade's past are being dismantled or reformed, while essential units appropriate for a heavy mechanized formation are being formed.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The former <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/territorial-defense-forces\/218th-territorial-defense-battalion\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"36789\">218th Territorial Defense Battalion<\/a> had previously been restructured into a linear infantry formation, becoming the <strong>1st Rifle Battalion<\/strong>.
