It was known to be formed in Poltava, grouping several mechanized, artillery, and other units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August 2023, it was revealed that the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/116th-mechanized-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"17051\">116-\u0439<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/117th-mechanized-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"17682\">117-\u0439<\/a>, \u0456 <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/118th-mechanized-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"17000\">118-\u0442\u0430 \u043c\u0435\u0445\u0430\u043d\u0456\u0437\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0430 \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a> were temporarily or structurally subordinated to the corps, with the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/air-assault-forces\/46th-airmobile-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"14373\">46-\u0430 \u0430\u0435\u0440\u043e\u043c\u043e\u0431\u0456\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430 \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a> \u0456 <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/skala-assault-battalion\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"17805\">\u0411\u0430\u0442\u0430\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d \"\u0421\u043a\u0430\u043b\u0430<\/a> also being present during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy&#8217;s visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In December 2023, the former commander, Brigadier General Serhii Perets, was dismissed from his position, with Brigadier General Vasily Zubanich, the main officer responsible for the efforts in Ukraine&#8217;s summer counteroffensive that same year, being appointed. Additionally, the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/5th-tank-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"11906\">5-\u0430 \u0442\u0430\u043d\u043a\u043e\u0432\u0430 \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a> \u0456 <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/33rd-mechanized-brigade\/\">33-\u0442\u044f \u043c\u0435\u0445\u0430\u043d\u0456\u0437\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0430 \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a> were then assigned under the corps&#8217; jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In July 2025, the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/43rd-mechanized-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"19897\">43-\u0442\u044f \u043c\u0435\u0445\u0430\u043d\u0456\u0437\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0430 \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a> would join the corps. A month later, the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/medical-service\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"40721\">1-\u0439 \u043c\u0435\u0434\u0438\u0447\u043d\u0438\u0439 \u0431\u0430\u0442\u0430\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d<\/a> \u0456 <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/14th-mechanized-brigade\/\">14th Mechanized Battalion<\/a> would be reassigned to the corps, with a newly formed <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/183rd-reserve-battalion\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"44234\">183-\u0439 \u0440\u0435\u0437\u0435\u0440\u0432\u043d\u0438\u0439 \u0431\u0430\u0442\u0430\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d<\/a> also being assigned under its command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In February 2026, the corps was temporarily assigned under the command of the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/joint-forces-task-force\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"72671\">\u041e\u043f\u0435\u0440\u0430\u0442\u0438\u0432\u043d\u0430 \u0433\u0440\u0443\u043f\u0430 \u041e\u0431'\u0454\u0434\u043d\u0430\u043d\u0438\u0445 \u0441\u0438\u043b<\/a>, commanded by <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/commanders\/mykhailo-drapatyi\/\" data-type=\"commander\" data-id=\"72672\">\u041c\u0438\u0445\u0430\u0439\u043b\u043e \u0414\u0440\u0430\u043f\u0430\u0442\u0438\u0439<\/a>.<br>In April, following reports of concealment of the real situation on the front line, loss of positions, and failures in supplying troops, <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/news\/general-staff-removes-brigade-and-corps-commanders-over-frontline-failures\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/news\/general-staff-removes-brigade-and-corps-commanders-over-frontline-failures\/\">Ukraine\u2019s General Staff has announced the dismissal<\/a> of the commander of the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/14th-mechanized-brigade\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/armed-forces\/14th-mechanized-brigade\/\">14-\u0442\u0430 \u043c\u0435\u0445\u0430\u043d\u0456\u0437\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0430 \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a> and the removal and demotion of <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/commanders\/serhiy-perets\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/commanders\/serhiy-perets\/\">Brigadier General Serhiy Perets<\/a>, commander of the 10th Army Corps, replaced by Brigadier General Artem Bohomolov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u0412\u0456\u0434\u0437\u043d\u0430\u043a\u0438<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The insignia depicts a stylized chevron in a grey and subdued green colour. The peak of the insignia abbreviates the designation of the unit, with the central imagery representing the designation again in a roman numeral &#8211; a drastic shift from its former insignia, which The brigade was formed in 2014, based on the 51st Mechanized Brigade, and has been active in combat operations since its inception. Following the full-scale Russian invasion, the unit was deployed to Kyiv Oblast to help block a potential Russian advance to the west. It later took part in the Kharkiv offensive and, since 2023, has been holding the line near Kupyansk.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The 1st Medical Battalion was previously known as the <strong>Medical Service of the International Legion<\/strong> in the Ukrainian Ground Forces, being reformed and expanded as a separate unit on February 5, 2025. The battalion is composed predominantly of ethnic Ukrainians.
