Later, in August 2024, the brigade took part in the incursion into Kursk Oblast of the Russian Federation, where it saw heavy fighting, performing extremely well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In April 2025, the brigade formed the basis of the 8th Air Assault Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 14, 2026, the brigade received the award &#8220;For Courage and Bravery&#8221; by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u0412\u0456\u0434\u0437\u043d\u0430\u043a\u0438<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The insignia features a traditional chevron, set against a deep red field and silver border. At its center stands a stylized silver eagle with wings outstretched, rendered in a bold yet minimalistic manner. A total of 13 corps are being established within the Ground Forces, two within the Air Assault Forces, one in the Marine Corps, and two in the National Guard. Some corps include inactive brigades or units that exist only on paper without actual personnel. It remains unknown what the goal is for these paper brigades. There are also rumors about two corps in the structure of Territorial Defense Forces. Hopefully, this will not happen, as TDF units should not be used as frontline formations.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Regarding the appointed commanders, the previous system of operational-tactical command groups and task forces is finally being phased out, as evidenced by the appointment of commanders such as Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Serhiy Perets, Serhei Sirchenko and Oleksandr Bakulin to lead corps. Additionally, several newly appointed corps commanders have earned recognition through their leadership at the brigade level. With five brigades now transferred to the 8th Air Assault Corps, the 7th Corps is left with the 25th Airborne Brigade, 77th Airmobile Brigade, 78th Air Assault Regiment, 79th Air Assault Brigade, and 81st Airmobile Brigade. As a result, the composition of the 7th Corps is significantly lighter compared to the 8th Corps.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The fate of the 148th Artillery Brigade, 132nd Reconnaissance Battalion, and 421st Battalion of Unmanned Systems is currently unclear.
