116th Mechanized Brigade\u00a0is a unit of the Ukrainian\u00a0\u0421\u0443\u0445\u043e\u043f\u0443\u0442\u043d\u0456 \u0432\u0456\u0439\u0441\u044c\u043a\u0430<\/a>, formed officially on February 15, 2023, on the basis of the\u00a031-\u0439 \u0441\u0442\u0440\u0456\u043b\u0435\u0446\u044c\u043a\u0438\u0439 \u0431\u0430\u0442\u0430\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d<\/a> \u0456 established alongside<\/a>\u00a0the 116th and 117th Mechanized Brigades under the\u00a010-\u0439 \u0430\u0440\u043c\u0456\u0439\u0441\u044c\u043a\u0438\u0439 \u043a\u043e\u0440\u043f\u0443\u0441<\/a>. At least part of the brigade was trained by NATO forces in Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From May 2023, the brigade operated on the Robotyne axis<\/a> in Zaporizhzhia oblast during the summer offensive, and the following defensive operations in the sector, specially in the key stronghold of Mala Tokmachka<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a working trip to the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the President of Ukraine V. Zelenskyy visited forwarded command post of the 10th Army Corps. He was briefed by the corps commander Serhiy Perets about the situation in the direction of Melitopol, where the corps is deployed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brig. Gen. Serhiy Perets is a former commander of Ukrainian 56th Motorized Brigade (2016 - 2018) and deputy commander of Joint Forces Operation. He now commands the 10th Army Corps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, he also met with Ukrainian soldiers. Official photos later revealed, at least partly, the composition of 10th Army Corps. The following units were present during the Zelenskyy visit of the corps forwarded command post:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
