A few days ago, rumors about the creation of the 8th Air Assault Corps reached us, and today they were confirmed by the Ukrainian recruiting portal, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.work.ua\/jobs\/by-company\/3102664\/#about\">work.ua<\/a>. We are the first to report about the formation.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The plan to establish the second corps within the Air Assault Forces structure, based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/air-assault-forces\/82nd-airassault-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"18618\">82nd Air Assault Brigade<\/a>, has been known since February 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/news\/the-general-staff-appoints-army-corps-commanders\/\">as reported by MilitaryLand<\/a>. The new Army Corps is being led by Colonel Dmytro Voloshyn, the former commander of the 82nd Brigade. The corps has unveiled a new insignia featuring an eagle at the top, similar to that of the 101st Airborne Division. With five brigades now transferred to the 8th Air Assault Corps, the 7th Corps is left with the 25th Airborne Brigade, 77th Airmobile Brigade, 78th Air Assault Regiment, 79th Air Assault Brigade, and 81st Airmobile Brigade.
