A mandatory condition of the contract is direct participation in combat operations in areas of military (combat) action.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"className\":\"\"} -->\n<p>After signing the contract, the commander issues an order appointing the candidate to the selected or proposed vacant position and officially enlists them in the military unit, providing all necessary support and resources. Additionally, within three working days, the commander must inform the head of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, where the individual is registered for military service, as well as their employer, about their enlistment. During service, the service member also receives a monthly salary according to their position, along with additional payments for direct participation in combat operations. Upon completion of the one-year contract and issuance of the order for removal from the personnel list, the service member, provided all contractual obligations have been fulfilled, receives the final installment of the financial reward\u2014500,000 UAH (~11,175 EUR). A few days ago, rumors about the creation of the 8th Air Assault Corps reached us, and today they were confirmed by the Ukrainian recruiting portal, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.work.ua\/jobs\/by-company\/3102664\/#about\">work.ua<\/a>. We are the first to report about the formation.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The plan to establish the second corps within the Air Assault Forces structure, based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/air-assault-forces\/82nd-airassault-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"18618\">82nd Air Assault Brigade<\/a>, has been known since February 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/news\/the-general-staff-appoints-army-corps-commanders\/\">as reported by MilitaryLand<\/a>. The new Army Corps is being led by Colonel Dmytro Voloshyn, the former commander of the 82nd Brigade. The corps has unveiled a new insignia featuring an eagle at the top, similar to that of the 101st Airborne Division. With five brigades now transferred to the 8th Air Assault Corps, the 7th Corps is left with the 25th Airborne Brigade, 77th Airmobile Brigade, 78th Air Assault Regiment, 79th Air Assault Brigade, and 81st Airmobile Brigade. As a result, the composition of the 7th Corps is significantly lighter compared to the 8th Corps.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The fate of the 148th Artillery Brigade, 132nd Reconnaissance Battalion, and 421st Battalion of Unmanned Systems is currently unclear. It's a bit ironic Airborne are using and training on MBT's, Normally would expected Mech or armour units training on MBT's, but not much use for any risky airdrops with the current force imbalance.
