On March 18, 2026, the corps further <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/khartiia\/3681\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/t.me\/khartiia\/3681\">\u043f\u0456\u0434\u0442\u0432\u0435\u0440\u0434\u0436\u0435\u043d\u043e <\/a>that the brigade would carry the nickname \u201cHrehit.\u201d The brigade\u2019s name likely derives from Mount Hrehit, located in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast within the Ukrainian Carpathians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement marks the continued expansion of the Khartia Corps. Most recently, the <em>4-\u0439 \u0431\u0430\u0442\u0430\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d \u043e\u043f\u0435\u0440\u0430\u0442\u0438\u0432\u043d\u043e\u0433\u043e \u043f\u0440\u0438\u0437\u043d\u0430\u0447\u0435\u043d\u043d\u044f<\/em> \u043f\u0440\u043e \u0440\u043e\u0437\u0448\u0438\u0440\u0435\u043d\u043d\u044f <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/national-guard\/khartia-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"18810\">\u0425\u0430\u0440\u0442\u0456\u044f \u0411\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a> was expanded into a separate unit, becoming the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ua\/ukraine\/national-guard\/23rd-assault-regiment\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"80712\">23rd Assault Regiment<\/a> of the corps, in line with a broader order issued by the Minister of Interior, Ihor Klymenko, to accelerate the development of the Ukrainian National Guard\u2019s combat corps structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0417\u0430 \u0434\u0430\u043d\u0438\u043c\u0438 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.if.gov.ua\/news\/svitlana-onyshchuk-pospilkuvalasia-z-komandyrom-viiskovoi-chastyny-3042-pidpolkovnykom-vitaliiem-korniienkom-iakyi-ocholiuie-7-artyleriisku-bryhadu-2-korpusu-khartiia-natsionalnoi-hvardii-ukrainy\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.if.gov.ua\/news\/svitlana-onyshchuk-pospilkuvalasia-z-komandyrom-viiskovoi-chastyny-3042-pidpolkovnykom-vitaliiem-korniienkom-iakyi-ocholiuie-7-artyleriisku-bryhadu-2-korpusu-khartiia-natsionalnoi-hvardii-ukrainy\">website of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration<\/a>, Lieutenant Colonel Vitalii Korniienko has been appointed as the brigade\u2019s commander. At its center is a stylized Ukrainian Tryzub, consisting of sharp, angular, and minimalistic shapes. The symbol forms an upward-pointing arrow towards the peak of the chevron, while its outer lines along the sides form the silhouette of a mountain, a visual reference to the brigade&#8217;s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The formation of this brigade is set to substantially strengthen fire support across the corps and within its area of responsibility.
