The brigade was formed on the basis of the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade, as previously <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/news\/another-light-brigade-becomes-heavy-mechanized\/\">reported on July 25, 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to our sources, the <strong>1st Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/strong>, a legendary unit, has been assigned to the <strong>18th Army Corps<\/strong>. The brigade was reformed from a tank formation <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/news\/the-legendary-1st-tank-brigade-undergoes-reform\/\">on July 8, 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, the <strong>4th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/strong> has been transferred from the <strong>9th Army Corps<\/strong> to the <strong>21st Army Corps<\/strong>. Below is the updated overview of army corps with and without an assigned heavy mechanized formation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3rd Army Corps &#8211; 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9th Army Corps &#8211; 5th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10th Army Corps &#8211; 117th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11th Army Corps &#8211; 127th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>12th Army Corps &#8211; unknown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>14th Army Corps &#8211; unknown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15th Army Corps &#8211; 129th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>16th Army Corps &#8211; 3rd Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>17th Army Corps &#8211; 128th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>18th Army Corps &#8211; 1st Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>19th Army Corps &#8211; unknown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20th Army Corps &#8211; 17th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>21st Army Corps &#8211; 4th Heavy Mechanized Brigade<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This leaves three army corps currently without a dedicated heavy mechanized brigade.
