The National Guard has also formed two corps-level formations and continues to grow and expand, albeit more quietly alongside the Armed Forces of Ukraine. including the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/national-guard\/azov-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"11913\">Azov Brigade<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/national-guard\/khartia-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"18810\">Khartiia Brigade<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/national-guard\/spartan-brigade\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"17080\">Spartan Brigade<\/a>, have already been accepting foreigners into their ranks for class=\"kt-adv-heading61629_b7703e-77 wp-block-kadence-advancedheading\" data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading61629_b7703e-77\">One new unit and expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A new unit, officially named the Support Regiment, has been established within the structure of the National Guard. It is the first formation of its kind in the Guard and is expected to provide support to corps formations on the frontline. Unlike the majority of units, it has not been given a numerical designation and exists solely under its official name. The regiment is being formed in Odesa Oblast under the military unit number 3116.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 7th Battalion (formerly the 75th Battalion), based in the city of Zhytomyr, has been expanded into a regiment and is now designated as the 38th Regiment. The <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/national-guard\/1st-azov-corps\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"45530\">1st Azov Corps<\/a> is legally designated as the Operational-Tactical Unit Command of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine &#8220;Azov&#8221;, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/militaryland.net\/ukraine\/national-guard\/2nd-corps\/\" data-type=\"unit\" data-id=\"45538\">2nd Khartia Corps<\/a> is officially named the Operational-Tactical Unit Command of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine &#8220;Khartia.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The naming confirms that a corps within the National Guard consists solely of a management and command body responsible for leading the formation.
