Between 2006 to 2007, he served within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and in 2008, he joined the Ukrainian National Police in Kharkiv until 2023. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, while he was in the police, he immediately came to the defense of his home, Kharkiv Oblast. At the head of a group of special forces, he stormed school No. 134 alongside Ukrainian volunteer units such as Fraykor <\/a>and a pool of soldiers which go on to form the \u0421\u043f\u0435\u0446\u043f\u0456\u0434\u0440\u043e\u0437\u0434\u0456\u043b \"\u041a\u0440\u0430\u043a\u0435\u043d<\/a>. Later, he would continue to drive Russian Forces out of Kharkiv city. In 2023, he left the police to join the Ukrainian National Guard, assuming the position of Deputy Commander of the 1st Operational Battalion of the \u0421\u043f\u0430\u0440\u0442\u0430\u043d \u0431\u0440\u0438\u0433\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/a>, and later went to become the commander of its 3rd Operational Battalion.
