Strazh Battalion підрозділ Національної гвардії України.

The unit began forming in September 2025 under the subordination of the 1-й корпус Азов, by the initiative of Major Vitaliy Ivanov, an experienced soldier who has been serving since the onset of the full-scale invasion, and also formerly served as an infantryman in the Бригада Азов.

In September 2025, he began forming the battalion under his experience, and soon began to deliver results on the battlefield in the Dobropillia direction in late 2025. It carries out air defense missions, providing cover for the corps’ area of responsibility, including unmanned systems interceptor units, anti-aircraft artillery, radar stations, mobile fire groups, medical support, as well as engineering and technical workshops and other support units.

Vitaliy Ivanov

Known by the callsign “Chezet”, he graduated from the National Aviation University with a degree in Aircraft Maintenance. Until 2022, he was engaged in managerial activities. In February 2022, he joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where he commanded a separate Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Platoon.
