У співпраці з нашим дописувачем і користувачем Discord Cossack ми випускаємо нову інтерактивну мапу. Карта візуалізує активні українські стратегічні та тактичні групи.
Стратегічне або тактичне угруповання - це військове формування української армії, яке об'єднує українські підрозділи, дислоковані на певній території, під загальним командуванням. Наприклад, оперативно-тактичне угруповання українських військ "Хортиця" відповідає за підрозділи, розташовані між Курдюмівкою та Куп'янськом, і очолює його генерал-полковник Олександр Сирський.
Склад кожного угруповання є змінним і залежить від того, які підрозділи наразі розгорнуті в конкретній місцевості. Карта базується на загальнодоступних ресурсах.

Stop panicking. If the Russians don’t have data way more detailed and up to date than what Ukraine publicly posts, I’ll eat a hat of your choice.

Visualizing publicly available data, there is nothing wrong with this.
This idea is questionable to me too – if its a nice overview for pro-ukraine readers, its even nicer for pro-russia readers.
Interesting map and gives a good picture of the situation. But you forget that the Russians see these maps too. Providing detailed data can be very dangerous for Ukraine. Be careful what you post.
Exactly. I would be willing to see less, of this stuff, if it helps the Ukrainian war effort.
Soviet (Russian) intelligence is watching these too, for free of charge data and conclusions. It helps them too.
Being careful is good, but these maps are based on publicly available info, and they don’t even receive real-time updates. I doubt that they’ll tell the Russians anything they don’t know already.

JK, I think the information given here is fine. It is dismissed as “western propaganda” anyway.
Military normaly have way more detailed maps. It’s assumed to be fine since it’s based on public info which also often is delayed and should already be known. But considering how bad the intel sometimes is, it would not be surprised if some military had to resort to using maps found on the Internet.
why? russia already knows all that info and waaaaaay more than what can be posted on here.
they have more detailed and more accurate maps than these themselves.

There is plenty of open-source information they do not process. Maybe because an accurate depiction of this war doesn’t look good for Russia.

All the data are publicly available, mostly through official channels. We just visualize them on the map, nothing else.

Great Idea. Thank you for all your work. Why not make this a normal feature of the Deployment Map? One map instead of two.
It’ll be part of the Deployment map eventually, but not turned on by default. Sector map has it turned on.
