Artillery Brigade of Khartia Corps Revealed

On April 6, 2026, the official social channels of the 2-й корпус Хартія of the Ukrainian National Guard unveiled the identity of its newest formation: the 7-ма артилерійська бригада, також відомий як Hrehit Brigade.

About the Formation

The formation was first identified in February 2026, when MilitaryLand став first to report on its creation, having observed recruitment advertisements published across various platforms. On March 18, 2026, the corps further підтверджено that the brigade would carry the nickname “Hrehit.” The brigade’s name likely derives from Mount Hrehit, located in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast within the Ukrainian Carpathians.

The announcement marks the continued expansion of the Khartia Corps. Most recently, the 4-й батальйон оперативного призначення про розширення Хартія Бригада was expanded into a separate unit, becoming the 23rd Assault Regiment of the corps, in line with a broader order issued by the Minister of Interior, Ihor Klymenko, to accelerate the development of the Ukrainian National Guard’s combat corps structure.

За даними website of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Lieutenant Colonel Vitalii Korniienko has been appointed as the brigade’s commander. The unit has also been identified under Military Unit Number – 3042.

In line with its formation, the brigade has also received its own distinctive insignia, maintaining the visual style and consistency seen throughout the corps units. It was unveiled as part of the corps’ initial announcement.

The insignia features a pointed chevron rendered in a contrasting black and vista blue color scheme. At its center is a stylized Ukrainian Tryzub, consisting of sharp, angular, and minimalistic shapes. The symbol forms an upward-pointing arrow towards the peak of the chevron, while its outer lines along the sides form the silhouette of a mountain, a visual reference to the brigade’s name.

The formation of this brigade is set to substantially strengthen fire support across the corps and within its area of responsibility. This development will also enhance overall combat cohesion, enabling the force to operate as a more unified and effective fighting force.
