Valentyn Manko

At the onset of hostilities in eastern Ukraine in April 2014, he sold his own agricultural machinery to purchase military equipment and created a volunteer unit within Right Sector’s paramilitary wing, the Добровольчий український корпус, numbered at approximately 1,400. Throughout his service, he participated in numerous battles, including Novohrodivka, Pisky, Pervomayske, Karlivka, Ilovaisk, Donetsk Airport, Debaltseve, Krasnohorivka, and Maryinka. Since its formation in 2023, he has been commanding the 33-й штурмовий полк. In October 2025, he became the epicentre of a scandal, being accused by military personnel and volunteers of breaching operational security after releasing imagery of maps online.
