In 2014, at the onset of massive political changes in Ukraine, around the time of the Revolution of Dignity and the beginning of the Russo-Ukrainian war, as part of one of the first company-tactical groups, he gained his first combat experience, fighting with his comrades against a mechanized column of the Russian Federation that was crossing the border in the area of Amvrosiivka, Donetsk Oblast.

In 2022, following the beginning of the full-scale invasion, as part of an operational battalion, he participated in the battles for Tokmak, Molochask, and Kamyansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In 2023, during the summer counteroffensive aimed at liberating the Ukrainian city of Melitopol, he partook in combat operations in the Orikhiv direction in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, where he was seriously wounded while stationed at one of the unit’s positions, losing his left leg.

After long-term treatment, rehabilitation, and receiving a prosthetic limb, he returned to service. He rose through the ranks from a soldier to a battalion commander and eventually became the Deputy Commander of the Kara-Dah Brigade; in 2026, he was appointed as the commander of the brigade, replacing Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Bukatar.
